Visitors of all ages will enjoy listening to the robotic metallic

voice speak to them, in response to what the visitor types

on the keyboard.

How it works:

Using a personal computer (not included,

does not require the latest/newest computer system), visitors type in messages

on the keyboard.

The talking computer program

speaks its entertaining response out loud through a speaker

connected to the computers sound card,

behind the robot or other prop/display.

In this way it carries on 2-way interactive "discussions"

with people using its artificial intelligence.

Runs automatically with no human operator required.

Should be supervised somewhat to prevent users from shutting down
the computer, etc.

Program can be set to startup automatically so all the supervisor
needs to do is turn the computer on in the morning and the program
will start and run automatically.

No moving parts, should last for years if not decades.

If you are buying the display, you get:

1.

The pictured robot display, having no moving parts or electronics,

made mostly from steel and aluminum, having some wood too.

It is just over 4 feet tall and weighs about 60 pounds.

For indoor use only.

The speaking out loud version of the interactive artificial intelligence "chat" program

which talks out loud to the user.

It uses only prerecorded statements to prevent anybody

from making it say objectionable words.

Telephone technical support to set up the software on your computer.

Terms of the sale of mechanical display

(not for just the software):

Even though it has no moving parts, it is still made mostly of metal,

and is heavy,

thus must be placed behind some sort of fence or barrier to keep

people from any possible injury on its corners/etc.

A notarized sales contract releasing seller from any liability

is required for the mechanical display (but not if

you are just getting the software).

Shipping company must ship door to door; ie they must pick up

and box the robot

from its current location in Vermont, USA.

It will be shipped in separate boxes, one containing the base & torso,

others containing the head/arms. No tools are required to assemble.

Requires IBM compatible computer, not included, to run the software;

an older inexpensive computer should suffice; tested fine on 266 mhz

and would probably work fine on even slower computers.
